Jane Eyre by Charlotte Bronte is a flowing story in which the characters
come to life through Bronte's writing style;in thrilling and descriptive text, Brontë takes the readers
on a wild journey of Jane's life. Growing up as an adopted orphan,
Jane desperately holds on to her individuality; she is neglected
by her aunt, Mrs. Reed, and abused emotionally and physically by her cousins.

"'No, you are less than a servant, for you do nothing for your keep." (Brontë, 16)

Mrs. Reed sends Jane to Lowood, a school run by a man who believes that
suffering is what makes a strong person. There, Jane meets Helen Burns,
who makes a huge impact in Jane's life even after she dies from
a fever in her arms. Ten years later, Jane becomes a governess at
Mr. Rochester's home, the man who she falls in love
with and agrees to marry once proclaiming herself as his equal.
However, their love is unlike a fairy tale; it is a journey filled
with obstacles, pain and surprises.
